Immediate start 12 month maternity leave contract State GovernmentWe're seeking Senior Compliance Officers who will be capable of providing expert analysis and technical advice to management and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the Compliance Framework, including but not limited to assurance services, legislative requirements and whole government obligations and guidelines. Manage the Policy Framework, including ensuring all areas maintain current policies that reflect business operations. Manage the insurance framework for the Departments assets, events and people. Provide support to the Audit and Risk Committee for the Department and assist with internal audit processes, including coordination of fieldwork, reporting and review of internal audit briefs. Provide preliminary legal advice and research on queries and provide formal written advice when required.
Essential criteria
Bachelor of Laws or equivalent qualification. Previous experience in a large and complex environment. Well developed verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills that enable effective and collaborative working relationships with a broad range of people at all levels. Demonstrated ability to undertake research and report writing.
To be successful in this role, you will be self-efficient, have demonstrated experience in providing high level advice on complex pieces of legislations and be capable of working independently and efficiently.
