A fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced ‘hands on’ Operations Manager to join this reputable Australian based manufacturing company who produce LED lighting for extreme environments focusing on recreational and heavy industrial applications.



You will be responsible for the day to day running of the Warehouse and Production area whilst managing, leading, and motivating a small team of 10 to 12 staff members, and driving system & process improvements to increase operational efficiencies.



Duties will include, although are not limited to:

Oversee production planning & measure performance against KPI’s Ensure that the Production, Warehouse & Dispatch departments operate to established systems & procedures Foster a culture of efficiency, innovation, and continuous improvement Ensure raw material requirements are communicated to the Purchasing Dept in a timely manner Oversee the Management of warehouse inventory levels Participate in stock takes Manage the running of an efficient operation which can fulfil operational and customer demand and meet set targets Train new Warehouse & Production operatives within area of responsibility Ensure stock movements are recorded accurately Ensure that any computerised or automated systems are accurate and up to date Identify any systems improvements and make recommendations for change Where possible resolve any issues or problems which occur Where appropriate elevate the issue to a more senior level Support and contribute to Lean Implementation tasks

To be considered for this position you will have:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role Solid leadership capability in a ‘hands on’ role, with experience in managing and coaching people through performance management Previous experience working in a manufacturing organisation Lateral thinker with the ability to make timely decisions The ability to lead, mentor and manage a team of skilled people to achieve targets Effective interpersonal and communication skills with a ‘can do’ attitude Intermediate computer skills Lateral thinker with the ability to make timely decisions

It is essential that you have a “can do” hands on approach with strong organisational skills.
