DevOps Engineer (BB-FEBF7)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Workplace Technology team which supports and enables our global activities by providing a global Digital Workplace platform. This area has seen significant growth in the past few years and focuses on group-wide, user-facing technologies that enhance the way the group collaborates and does business.

This is an initial 6 month contract which is highly likely to be converted to a permanent role. You will be working on an exciting project, actively engaging with stakeholders and closely collaborating with diverse technology teams. With your self-starter attitude and broad range of experience in the enterprise IT world, you will be responsible for:

working closely with the Project team to design and implement the physical access management system, including building the platform, integrating with external systems, designing and implementing detailed configurations, designing the operational model and providing training to stakeholders writing code and scripts to automate deployments, processes, operations, monitoring, and reporting developing Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and providing ongoing support/updates ongoing maintenance and operational support of the physical access management system proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement of the physical access management system working with developers to maintain deployment code repository.

Ideally you will have the following skills:

5+ years of working experience in IT and 3+ years in large enterprise environment demonstrated experience with MSSQL scripting intermediate level scripting skills (JavaScripts, Python, Powershell, etc.) understanding on XML, JSON, and YAML familiarity with RESTful APIs and system integrations understanding of public cloud, preferably AWS exposure to CI/CD process and experience working with Git, BitBucket, Bamboo, Artifactory, etc. experience with Atlassian suite, e.g. Confluence, Jira, etc. experience with reporting and monitoring platforms, such as Splunk, PowerBI are highly regarded knowledge in physical access control systems like ProWatch, physical access management systems like HID Safe and CCTV is highly desirable strong problem solving and communication skills excellent technical writing skills and comfortable with creating design documents ability to work in an agile environment and understanding of agile methodology.
