The opportunity to work as the Manager, Technology Risk and Assurance has become available due to an internal promotion. Within this exciting opportunity you will oversee the direction of a risk management, assurance and compliance related area, while leading and developing individuals and teams to achieve goals and deliver RBA outcomes. As part of the IT Strategy, Architecture and Governance team, you will strengthen and maintain IT’s risk management and compliance frameworks and manage an industry-aligned, effective Technology Risk and Assurance function for the Bank.

This role will see you contribute to the broader strategic direction and leadership of the area, sharing accountability with other leaders for overall performance of deliverables and outcomes. This is a highly visible role and will allow you to have a voice and deliver risk management, assurance and control monitoring services that contribute to the organisation's strategic goals and ensure relevant internal, industry and legal compliance obligations are met for the areas of oversight.

Other key responsibilities will include:

Lead, guide and develop individuals and teams to effectively achieve area outcomes Contribute to the improvement of policies, systems and processes, ensuring the integrity and suitability of information Drive the move to a data-driven technology risk and assurance function Identify and respond to issues, risks and opportunities, helping to ensure an appropriate risk and compliance framework is in place. Manage internal and external relationships and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders Manage the capabilities required to measure, report and manage technology governance, risk and compliance functions of the Bank Own IT Department's role in the Bank's wider risk management and reporting processes and tools Support the Senior Manager, Strategy, Architecture and Governance in other activities

Your team

This role is part of the Corporate Services Group, Information Technology Department. The Corporate Services Group is responsible for the effective provision of information technology, workplace (asset management, facilities management, building security, and procurement) and data management services to support the delivery of the Bank’s policy, operational and corporate objectives. Information Technology Department - responsible for transforming and developing the core IT functions that support the Reserve Bank's policy, operational and corporate objectives.

Your background

To be successful in this critical role you will possess;

Broad, thorough knowledge of technology driven risks and associated control environment Excellent understanding of current legislation and precedence governing IT Expert knowledge in information technology governance Knowledge of Information security principles and practices Experience in developing policies, procedures and standards to meet regulatory and international standards.
