Aon Canberra provides insurance program placement with supporting risk services nationally, with a focus on the ACT and Southern NSW. Our Commercial business is a market-leader, delivering best-in-class risk solutions for top-tier SME, mid-market and corporate clients.
The Canberra Commercial team of 15 manage a substantial, expanding portfolio of clients across every business sector. We are a team who work closely and collaboratively to ensure client satisfaction and growth within our branch. In this role you will manage and grow a portfolio of clients with a focus on client retention, growth, superior risk advice and placement complimented by exceptional claims management.
This position can also be offered as a secondment for Aon employees wishing to take on a new challenge.
Key responsibilities will include:
Manage a significant portfolio of A-list clients Managing key stakeholder relationships and enhancing the client experience Identifying development opportunities for designated portfolio and designing appropriate servicing solutions Developing new and profitable business within the Commercial segment Contributing to the strategic direction of the Commercial business Providing technical and personal support and leadership to more junior members of the team Manage renewals from pre-renewal to finalization ensuring claims process delivers on clients; expectations and advocating on their behalf Ensure representation of Aon within the business community by seeking and accepting appropriate opportunities to present the company’s interests and perspectives Uphold the image and reputation of the company as an ethical member of the community and industry by communicating the company’s values internally and externally, and by monitoring adherence to ruling statutory, legislative and commercial practices
Exceptional client relationship management capabilities First-class communication and presentation skills Experience working to budgets A keen entrepreneurial spirit Strong technical understanding of a broad range of Commercial Insurance products At least a 5 years’ track record of success in General insurance Proven experience in similar client management Demonstrated success in business development Highly self-motivated with a creative solutions focused mind-set Strong negotiation and influencing skills with ability to build instant rapport An outcome focused approach supported by your ability to present to a broad audience effectively Tier 1 - Broking certificate required
