Our NSW Water team is growing. Contributing to this growth is being awarded a 10-year contract to partner with Sydney Water to deliver their program of works in the Southern Region. We are part of a consortium, Delivering for Customers (D4C) and we are working on multiple projects in water and wastewater networks and Wastewater Treatment Plants. This solid program of works has identified the need to increase our Technical Design capacity to lead design packages in Networks.

Technical lead for the delivery of Network design scope to achieve project objectives. Provide technical input to project-specific proposals and budgets. Provide strong technical guidance to the design team Ensure Sydney Water and D4C design workflows and processes are adhered to Work with Digital Engineering Lead to apply Digital Engineering Strategy to projects; Responsible for implementing appropriate Safety in Design workshops, technical reviews, value engineering, and project risk workshops Deploy risk management principles & methodologies into project systems and processes Coach & mentor less experienced engineers Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders (Project Managers, Project Engineers, Operations, Construction, Environment representatives, Community representatives, Commissioning, Maintenance, etc.)

The successful candidate will be a team player, and able to work with a range of stakeholders including influencing senior leaders.
Passionate about all things Water. Tertiary degree in engineering or equipment engineering from recognised institution. Typically, 15+ years of relevant Water industry experience. High level of engineering design development review, verification, and technical skills, keeping abreast of current developments and trends in engineering. Chartered by Engineers Australia (or eligible for Chartership). High Level interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills, with an ability to negotiate and influence outcomes. Demonstrated technical knowledge. Strong experience in working in partnership with other design organisations in Alliance or JV. Skilled in managing conflicts between organisational cultures and business systems demands.
