We are looking for someone who has the experience (this is a MUST) to lead by example and inspire a group of talented team members, to be the very best they can be. Whilst heading the WAG Recreation program specifically, you will also be the go to person for all the other Head and Senior coaches in ALL programs. You will be passionate, empathetic and very organised, with the ability to multitask. A supportive and equally enthusiatic Club Manager will be there with you every step of the way.

Program Management

  • Ensure that all club programs are safe, challenging and appropriate for the activity level
  • Effectively manage and coordinate program schedules and activities
  • Ensure appropriate arrangement of class and class sizes, ensuring class sizes are consistent with skill activity levels
  • Ensure all coaching staff are appropriately qualified for the roles undertaken.
  • Ensure all club classes and programs are supported by timely, stimulating and appropriately documentation (i.e. lesson plans, data, evaluation)
  • Coordinate and deliver where required, timely and effective in-house training activities that address program needs
  • Conduct effective and timely coaching meetings
  • Ensure equipment is checked regularly, particularly prior to use. Ensure such equipment complies with club equipment safety reporting requirements
  • Initiate and encourage improvements to Club programs and program management
  • Coaching

  • Coach all levels of the WAG program with a focus on the non-competitive athletes.
  • Assist in other programs where qualified and required.
  • Staff Management

  • Ensure all coaches deliver safe, quality and stimulating programs tailored to individual skills and aspirations
  • Ensure all coaching staff are aware of industry and club coaching practices, policies and protocols
  • Ensure all coaching staff are familiar with club safety and injury management practices and reporting requirements
  • Anticipate future coaching requirements and oversee the recruitment of appropriate coaching staff
  • Promptly and effectively manage and resolve staffing issues as they are brought to your attention
  • Work in conjunction with the WAG Squad Head Coach, to ensure these competitive classes are of the highest quality.
  • Events/Competitions

  • Oversee the technical components of competitions and events
  • Communication & Liaison

  • Build positive relationships with all stakeholders
  • Effectively communicate with all stakeholders
  • Submit timely and accurate written program reports to the Club Manager as requested.
  • Attend and actively participate in management meetings and in club training when required
  • Essential Requirements

  • First Aid Certificate
  • Current Provide/Perform CPR
  • Advanced / Advanced Silver Gymnastics Coach Accreditation
  • Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
  • Desirable Criteria

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification
  • Sports Management / Business Degree
  • High Performance / Gold Gymnastics Coach Accreditation
  • KinderGym Coach Accreditation
