Take ownership of the planning, execution and reporting of functional testing of the systems and applications under development.

Our client, a large government organisation, is currently undertaking a program of work that will deliver various technical solutions to enable service reform across the business. They are seeking an experienced Test Analyst to contribute to the delivery of the initiative. If successful, you will be responsible for the planning, execution and reporting of system, regression and integration testing of the systems and applications under development. You will also support User Acceptance Testing and contribute to the ongoing maintenance of the quality assurance processes.

This is an initial short term contract opportunity, based in Brisbane CBD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute maintainable test cases and regression test suites from analysis of user stories and process maps.
  • Provide advice on aspects of test planning, design and execution.
  • Liaise with the project team, vendor and across-agency stakeholders in order to correctly interpret what is required of the testing process and provide advice and communicate testing outcomes.
  • Record results and summary of test outcomes using agreed methods and standards.
  • Provide the test manager with regular reports on testing activities.
  • Undertake review of vendor system testing to ensure adequate system test coverage to meet vendor testing exit criteria and ensure acceptance test entry criteria is met.
  • Manage and monitor the progress of allocated testing tasks and deliverables and advise / escalate issues.

    • What you will bring:

  • 5+ years-experience in end-to-end test delivery, particularly with functional testing planning and execution.
  • Experience in testing Software as a Service (SaaS) products and solutions.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Test Manager and Microsoft DevOps (formerly TFS).
  • Demonstrated test experience in CRM and Case Management applications.
  • Experience in vast range of testing methodologies, practices and procedures, including experience in both system testing and acceptance testing.
  • Strong people skills and the ability to work well in a team.

    • Highly Desirable:

  • Test analysis experience within public sector environments.
  • Ability to utilise a range of contemporary technologies including cloud platforms, open source and 'SaaS' services.
  • An ISTQB Certification.
