About the Aboriginal and Cultural Diversity Officer

The Aboriginal and Cultural Diversity Officer is responsible for providing advice and support on the design, development and implementation of culturally inclusive teaching and learning resources.

To be successful in the   Aboriginal and Cultural Diversity Officer  role you will ideally have:

1. Experience in providing recommendations on the development of culturally appropriate teaching and learning resources that will support and address the range of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds of students
2. Demonstrated skills in researching, testing, evaluating and disseminate processes and standards on the application of culturally appropriate teaching and learning strategies in education and training to improve teaching and learning effectiveness.
3. High level expertise in indigenous matters and community expectations to influence key stakeholders on the design, development and implementation of teaching and learning resources 

About you
You will have appropriate Degree or Diploma at AGF 5-8 or equivalent and appropriate vocational and or industrial experience and demonstrated experience in implementing a Cultural Diversity Strategy in a teaching and learning environment. You will have broad communication and consultation skills.

    Explain your ability to anticipate conflict within a high pressure organisational setting, as well as your ability to avoid or minimise potential conflict if possible. Could you provide an example of how you handled the conflict with integrity and transparency.

    Question 2:

    The role will assist and develop a range of strategies for the development of teaching and learning assessment tools and also engage with a range of internal stakeholders. Please provide an example of when you have successfully implemented a Teaching and Learning strategy. Outline the communication and consultation strategies you used.
