Description:

IQVIA is looking for a Clinical Trial Nurse / Rater Nurse to join one of its clinical trials for patients with Dominantly Inherited Alzheimer's Disease.

The patient we require a Nurse for is located in Kurri Kurri, NSW.

Each Nurse will perform up to 8 visits per patient to a patients home to take bloods, process these and use rating scale to assess a patients cognitive state.

Each visit is different and not all these activities are required for every visit:

  • Urine dipstick
  • Recording of ConMeds
  • Adverse events
  • Vital signs
  • Booking couriers for bloods and drugs/ Liaising with sample courier
  • Clinical history & Cognitive assessments
  • Drawing of blood and centrifuging of blood samples
  • Ensuring patient using remote testing app appropriately
  • Visit report form (VRF) completion & transmission

    • Training will be provided by IQVIA for the successful Nurse

    Essential:

  • RN (Current Registration)
  • Current Basic Life Support Certificate
  • Rater Nurse Skills - An awareness of rating scales is required for the cognitive tests (full training and equipment will be provided) (see appendix for full list of rating tests)
  • Phlebotomy skills (must have recent skills), and be able to process samples
  • Neurological experience Essential – understand the disease area & sensitive issues with genetic link. Previous experience in Alzheimer's disease is desirable but not essential
  • Computer Literate/ required to upload cognitive testing to web link and transfer data from Ipad/ MP3 player to sponsor. Access to WiFi at home
  • High attention to detail and committed to complete paperwork promptly
  • Current/ full/ unrestricted driver’s licence
  • Availability to travel to conduct visits all over Australia
  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

  • Previous Clinical Trial Experience
