About the role:

We are currently looking for a Category & Channel Strategy Manager to become the key support function across all channels of our business working within our Pain and Vitamin’s Healthcare Portfolio. This role will see you create a competitive advantage through insight driven, innovative and effective category reviews and proposals aligned to our brand and retailer priorities. It will report through to the Lead Category & Channel Manager and will work Cross functionally with other divisions within GSK.

About you:

You will be a strong communicator with category experience. A strategic thinker with commercial acumen who can provide insights from data and analytics. Your ability to foster and build on relationships externally and internally is key to success in the role. You will be driven to execute on strategy enabling delivery of results.

Responsibilities include :

  • Defining, implementing, managing and reviewing the category marketing strategy for the oral health category.
  • Translating and implementing category strategy into high quality commercial shopper marketing programs.
  • Identifying category risks and opportunities that may impact on GSK performance.
  • Analysing customer performance against competitors and making detailed recommendations based on the growth drivers required to optimise performance.
  • Building strong collaborative relationships with key customers.

    To be successful in the role:

  • An expert understanding of category concepts and dynamics.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, commerce or a related field.
  • A high level of commercial and financial acumen including: budget management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Personal credibility, confidence and robustness to influence and challenge senior colleagues.
  • Experience with AC Nielsen and IMS data
  • An expert understanding of category concepts and dynamics
  • A high level of commercial and financial acumen including: budget management.
  • Experience with AC Nielsen and IMS data including strong excel skills
