Service Technician (BB-D9803)

Main Duties:

  • Perform planned services on MULTIVAC Australia supported equipment installed on customer sites;
  • Travel to customer sites as required to diagnose and rectify technical issues causing breakdowns;
  • Investigate and proactively work to correct problems where machines are not performing at required levels;
  • Perform machine services and rebuilds in MULTIVAC workshop as required;
  • Provide technical phone support to customers where onsite attendance is not able to be provided;
  • Liaise with management on service-related matters within Australia;
  • Attend machine-specific training courses as directed;
  • Comply with local safety guidelines and ensure risks are identified and controlled whilst working on customer sites and MULTIVAC offices.

  • Relationships and Authority:

  • Reports directly to State Service Manager

  • Required Skills:

  • An Electrician’s Licence “A” Class OR be a trade qualified Fitter / Mechanic with a Restricted Electrical Licence;
  • Experience in the food industry packaging or processing equipment is essential ;
  • Ability to interpret electrical and pneumatic drawings;
  • Proven customer service skills;
  • Willingness to work weekend, travel at short notice and work flexible hours as required;
  • Current Drivers Licence;
  • A strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
