The GM, IT Planning and Delivery is responsible for the functions that drive and embed technology transformation at CA ANZ - work intake & estimation, planning, Project & Programme Management, change and operationalization - ensuring consistency, accuracy & efficiency of IT planning and delivery.
Success for this role will ultimately see IT meet our commitments to CA ANZ and its members through the successful deployment of technology. High quality governance, applying the methodology of best fit critical; lean approaches with iterative definition of requirements, through scaled agile practice & onto large scale traditional delivery. Critical to this success is ownership of reporting, measurement and performance of IT delivery to executive and board audiences.
This role plays a part in both run and change activities within IT and will oversee the digital transformation pillar that is part of the 2025 CA ANZ strategy.
The Opportunity Leading the identification and development of IT delivery roles, team configuration and recruitment Leading the identification and implementation of delivery processes, methods, tools, guidelines and standards in order to establish a stable framework that supports all IT teams and stakeholders to continuously improve delivery Defining, managing and directing the required end-to-end delivery effort, which includes leveraging best practices and techniques in identifying, and tracking the realization of expected benefits defined for initiatives Providing ongoing coaching and mentoring to the delivery team Building and maintaining relationships with CA ANZ senior leadership and key stakeholders, and acting as a trusted advisor Regularly reviewing and evaluating opportunities to improve delivery best practices in order to achieve better outcomes for CA ANZ
Great To have Experience with one or more project management methodologies (for example, PMI PMBOK, PRINCE2 and Agile). Program management skills and experience, plus significant knowledge of project planning tools with evidence of practical application (Minimum 5 years) History in delivering large scale, complex & expensive programmes of work Exceptional delivery and change management skills Ability to frame & pitch in a convincing manner to persuade & drive agreement from all stakeholders & 3rd parties. A distinctive blend of business, IT, financial and communication skills. Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources may not be in direct control of this role. Strong business acumen, including industry, domain-specific knowledge of the enterprise and its business units. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategic resource plan. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain IT concepts and technologies to business leaders, and business concepts to the Delivery team Demonstrate exceptional customer service and collaboration skills with a variety of stakeholders with varying technical expertise Proven ability to write quality, fit-for-purpose documentation including, but not limited to, user stories, requirements, technical designs, release notes Aptitude and passion for expanding your expertise as needed by a role and demonstrated self-commitment to maintaining your knowledge of emerging technologies, standards, and frameworks. Experience working in scaled agile framework (SAFe) environments Demonstrated leadership, commercial & customer focus, experience in a similar role within a large organization.
