About the role

An exciting opportunity exists to become an ICT Project Management Officer Trainee while completing a Business Certificate III within Local Government in Ballan.

This role is part of the Victorian Apprenticeship Recovery Program, and therefore to be eligible to apply, you must be under 24 years of age, with no prior tertiary qualifications.

POSITION OBJECTIVES

The key objective of the position is to assist in the project management of the ICT departments scoping, resourcing and assisting to ensure on time delivery of small projects with all stake holders informed of their responsibilities and time frames.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand and assist with mapping project tasks.Assist with assigning task responsibilities.Monitor Project timelines.Assist with mapping project dependencies and defining risks.Assist with ensuring projects are delivered on time or advising when a project is not tracking to deliver within the required timelines or budget.

    General

    Assist the IT Team by performing various functions/duties designed to assist in meeting corporate goals and strategies but which may not be specifically designated within the scope of this position description.

  • A willingness to complete a Certificate level qualification focusing on ICT project management methodologies
  • Experience working in a customer focused environment
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong computer literacy skills
  • Ability to draft letters and reports
  • Ability to work with people from a range of backgrounds
