About the role:
Glenn Innes District Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide compassionate person centred care within the facility, ensuring safe care is delivered in collaboration with patients, families, carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes. The successful applicant will be supported with education days and a Clinical Nurse Educator.

Where you'll be working:
Glenn Innes District Hospital has a 28 bed medical unit with a 4 bed maternity unit and a 4 bed Emergency Department. We have a dedicated Clinical Nurse Educator for support and education of staff. Shifts include morning, evening and night duty.

Glen Innes is NSW’s Celtic capital, high country on the intersection of the New England and the Gwydir Highways. The area is rich in minerals and agriculturally is a large producer of wool, sheep and beef as well as being the home of the Australian Standing Stones and the World Heritage Washpool National Park. The population of over five thousand is a friendly and welcoming community offering an affordable selection of accommodation and a preschool, two primary schools and a high school. The winters are chilly; however these are balanced out with mild summers. 

About you:
As a Registered Nurse working at Glen Innes District Hospital you will use great communication skills and excellent time management to provide effective patient care. You will be capable of working as part of a friendly and dynamic team and be able to prioritise your workload to ensure excellent safe care is delivered. 

Job share arrangements will be considered.

An eligibility list will be created for future temporary part time vacancies.


To be eligible for employment in these roles you must be: an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or a citizen of another country with an appropriate visa that allows you to work in Australia. 

If you currently hold a temporary visa that allows you to live and work in Australia you may only be offered employment in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
