About the opportunity

Based in Adelaide, provide Instrument, Control and Electrical (ICE) Integrity and Engineering support to South Australian and Western Australian (SAWA) assets and projects; to ensure the performance of all ICE systems align with business objectives.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Program leader and owner of ICE technical integrity management & compliance for SAWA business unit. This includes management, compliance, auditing and reporting of asset programs and assigned critical process safety controls to ensure legislative and company requirements are met. 
  • Provide SME (ICE) services for all SAWA activities including but not limited to, HAZOP, LOPA, alarm management and leading front end activities such as feasibility studies, concept studies FEED activities where necessary.
  • Identify new technologies, systems and processes to ensure ongoing asset profitability and sustainability at all stages of life cycle.
  • Identify, justify, budget and implement minor improvement projects for Regulatory compliance, increased safety, Production reliability and availability including supervision of supplementary labour.
  • Provide operational support and initial investigation/troubleshooting assistance for instrument, controls, communications and electrical systems related to SAWA assets as assigned by line manager.
  • Risk assessment facilitation and participation related to operational deviations, detected anomalies and deferred critical maintenance activities.
  • We are looking for technically proficient individuals with considerable knowledge of Instrumentation, Control, Communication and Electrical systems and a strong track record of delivering business value in the capital and operational compliance arenas – preferably within the hydrocarbons industry. 

    Tertiary qualification in the relevant engineering discipline is required as a minimum. 

    Understanding, application and demonstrating technical compliance to Australian regulatory frameworks is essential, along with the ability to build fruitful and value-adding relationships with a range of stakeholders including Beach Energy Development and Production teams.

    A current Australian Driving licence is required for this role.
