This is a permanent part-time (0.6FTE) position commencing Term 2, 2021.

Beckenham Primary School (PS) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher – Primary to join their team. We are looking for a passionate individual, committed to ongoing learning, in a team environment and our school operations.

We are seeking a classroom teacher with exemplary literacy and numeracy practices. The successful applicant will ideally be able to differentiate the curriculum to meet the needs of all students in the class. You will ideally have experience with Spelling Mastery, Talk 4 Writing and Guided Reading. The successful applicant will also ideally possess strong behaviour management and classroom management processes.

The successful applicant will support the school with the priorities established in the school business plan, for example support our whole school values program. You will support student learning of Information Communication Technology (ICT), and use restorative practice to resolve conflict. The successful applicant will ideally be able to work collaboratively with others to support others in collaborate teams to develop and plan common assessment tasks and moderate. You will also maintain a focus on explicit and direct instructional approaches to teach of literacy and numeracy.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
