As the Project Director for Infor’s consulting projects in Pacific, this person will be responsible for:

  • engagement ownership that is focused on successful delivery, customer retention and customer reference-ability
  • the end to end success of all consulting projects for assigned client(s)
  • owning the consulting relationship for the engagement - this role is the primary contact for any major decision and issues for the Infor delivery teams and the customer
  • serving as liaison between Infor and client in order to ensure that all targets and requirements are met, including all project milestones and budgets
  • delivering on financial targets for assigned clients

To be successful, this person must have the necessary leadership experience, demeanor, emotional intelligence, communication abilities and business acumen. The right person for this role will be able to communicate effectively at the executive level, as well as move up and down the value chain of the customer organization, including navigating tough conversations and challenging personalities with integrity, respect, and a blend of firmness and flexibility that creates a positive working environment while enforcing company policies and goals. To be successful, this person will need to build a strong team culture to ensure alignment on approach to challenges as well as solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership, strategic vision, willingness to be hands-on and an ability to innovate and collaborate with all levels of Infor and the customer organization are keys to successfully executing on the end-to-end deployment.80% of this role is focused on delivery (this is a billable role) and 20% is focused on presales and deal structuring.

  • Oversee the creation of the delivery solution, scope and SOW
  • Responsible for the oversight and execution of all Infor-led projects at assigned client(s)
  • Builds relationships with existing customers to ensure that they are engaged and getting the most value from our services
  • Engage and partner with C- Level executives and conduct customer meetings.Understand customer direction, anticipate and resolve issues, become the trusted advisor to the customer on engagement direction and management
  • Partner with Sales Executives, Regional Leads, Customer Partners, Development, and other Infor leadership to manage customer relationships
  • Work with sales, architects, Services and others to set scope, staffing and organization aspects of a new engagement.Work with all involved to reorganize and revise staffing and organization as needed
  • Provides oversight and guidance for all delivery teams to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Perform ongoing analysis and review of engagement(s) and one on ones with key internal and external stakeholders to assess engagement and team health and then work with rest of PM team to make any needed changes/improvements
  • Drive customer reference-ability as evidenced my customer reference artifacts

Escalations / Review

  • Assist PM(s) and pursuit teams to drive all CRs
  • Critical Issues/Risks/Contingencies/Alternatives/Mitigations (discuss and address with Infor team and customer)
  • Development issues (discuss and address with Infor team and customer)
  • Scope/Schedule/Budget management oversight
  • Primary leader in escalation mitigations and recoveries

Relationship Management

  • Proactive communication with Infor, Partner, and Customer executives
  • Primary point of contact for all delivery related aspects of assigned client(s)
  • Partner with the delivery, sales, development, cloud operations, partners, and other teams to ensure project & solution direction

Status Reporting

  • Review status reports and provide feedback with project management team on a periodic cadence
  • Periodic one on ones with PMs, architects, and leads to get detail overview of issues/risks/staffing and escalations
  • Participate in team PM meetings and customer meetings as appropriate
  • Participate in status reporting with customer
  • Participate / Present Steering committee and other customer executive meetings
  • Participate in Risk/Issue meetings
  • Participate/Present Internal Executive status

Sales Cycle

  • Identify and formulate new opportunities with customer
  • Assist & Review SOW details
  • Understand and review staffing plan, budget, and schedule for work being proposed
  • Participate & lead the negotiation discussion with customer, in cooperation with Sales and Services

Financials

  • Assist PM(s) with review and approval of staffing plan and staffing changes
  • Review and approve financial tracker and/or project financials (in collaborations with PM)
  • As owner, review and finalise the weekly/monthly revenue forecasts for assigned client(s)
  • Ensure Project financials are on target
  • Ensure customer billings/payments are on target

Key Requirements/Experience

  • Minimum of fifteen years’ progressive responsibility professional services experience for an enterprise software company, ideally a cloud applications business or a systems integration consultancy firm
  • Strong track record of managing and successfully delivering professional service engagements, programs and projects involving complex solution sets (i.e. 7-8 solutions), on-premise, cloud and hybrid
  • Proven ability to manage successful global custom and/or co-development projects
  • Certification as a PMP from PMI or equivalent.
  • Strong track record of selling consulting services and adding value in the sales process
  • Strong influencing and persuasion skills in order to operate successfully in a matrixed organisation
  • Able to work independently but contribute fully as an effective team member
  • Adapting communication style and methods in response to varying individuals and diverse situations
  • Tackling conflict situations assertively and encouraging those involved to work together to reach solutions
  • A personality that is aggressive and collaborative in nature with a risk-taking mentality
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple functions, projects, priorities and time pressure
  • Ability to manage business transformation
  • Leadership skills
  • P&L experience related to programs and projects
  • Ability to develop trust-based, constructive working relationships with customer executives and Infor colleagues
