The Project

NEWest Alliance is a multidisciplinary collaboration between CPB Contractors and Downer, working with the Public Transport Authority to deliver over $1.2 billion of works as part of METRONET.

Across two projects (Yanchep Rail Extension and Thornlie-Cockburn Link), the Alliance will add 32 kilometres of track to Perth's rail network, 5 new stations and 3 station modifications as well as 14 kilometres of principal shared path.

Your   Opportunity

You will have an active role in leading the commissioning activities across both YRE and TCL construction projects. This will involve managing handover and completions activities across all stages of the project. Attractive salary package with a dedicated and experienced team on an iconic major rail infrastructure project.

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Degree qualified Engineer
  • Rail systems background in either communications and SCADA control, Operational Technology or Signalling function.
  • Experience in developing system specific commissioning sub plans and test criteria
  • Ability to help develop and deliver FAT and SAT testing criteria
  • Ability to contribute to construction methodologies and staging planning with a focus on commissioning deliverables
  • Proven commitment to promoting safety, quality and environment compliance on site
  • Metro rail experience from either PTA, TfNSW or Melbourne Metro highly desirable.
  • A collaborative and diligent attitude to project delivery and commitment to promoting a friendly team environment on site
