  • Provide day to day leadership of client projects and aspects of the client relationship and commercial process within those relationships, teaming with Partners.
  • Lead and manage complex programs to ensure on-time delivery that meets agreed upon goals. Leverage Oliver Wyman best practice, individual expertise, and the firm’s technical competence to drive overall design and implementation of effective client solutions.
  • Seasoned diplomatic, communication and client management skills and guide and influence clients in an informed way across all situations including execution of the commercial process, becoming trusted advisors
  • Fully engaged in business building by identifying new and expanded opportunities, creating exciting and additive intellectual capital through their leadership.
  • Develop others and build a followership as part of asset building with the firm
  • Establish themselves as a well-regarded contributor by Partners, Consultants, and Support Professionals alike, building a strong brand within and outside the firm.
  • An active leader in firm building activities and a role model for firm values.
  • Experience Required:

    While specific responsibilities will vary based on previous experience, the ideal candidate will have the following: 

  • A minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience, ideally with a top-tier strategy consulting firm or project-based, team-oriented environments. Additional Industry Experience advantageous.
  • Strong Market/Environment knowledge, and issues facing firms today and in the future, with experience of helping clients to address them. 
  • Strong Retail & CPG industry knowledge, with deep expertise in key practice relevant content areas.
  • Proven track record in assisting global or local leading soft-line brands establish market presence, increase market share or achieve rapid growth in the China market
  • Rich experience in wholesale to retail transformation in retail or consumer goods sector, in the capacity of a change agent, from strategy formulation to transformation facilitation or implementation, especially in the digital or omni channel context
  • Hands on experience in introducing or implementing various operating models that enable omni-channel strategies
  • Experience in product portfolio optimization, retail operations excellence and supply chain strategy are a plus.
  • Well-connected to the soft line sector eco-system, with extensive exposure to best practice of end to end go-to-market or product life-cycle management processes
  • Seasoned project manager with proven track record of quality delivery and project management
  • Proven track record of project leadership, execution, managing teams and work streams, and business development excellence, against tight deadlines in fast paced and demanding environments
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to senior clients, with the ability to guide and influence thinking
  • Engagement in building business, and creating relevant and impactful intellectual capital
  • Team development, and a strong personal brand both within and outside the firm.
  • Strong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills
  • Skills and Attributes:

  • Outstanding communication skills; confidence in presenting to senior executives and c-suite stakeholders
  • English and Chinese Language Skills – Professional Working Proficiency minimum
  • Undergraduate and/or advanced degree from a top academic program/institution
  • Willingness to travel
