We are a Chinese restaurant that priding ourselves on authentic Chinese dishes and dumplings with high quality ingredients. To complement this we need a professional restaurant manager competent in high quality customer service, to ensure that our customer gain a great dining experience.
The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing overall restaurant operations, including:
liaising closely with the Director / Business Owner to monitor performance and build good reputation;
liaising with the Executive Chef in regard to menu planning;
Planning and organizing functions to suit customer needs Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget and supplier agreements.
Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions
Ensure that the Restaurant is adequately staffed.
Provide supervision and support to staff and undertake staff training;
Ensure all kitchen staff have food handling certificate and are trained otherwise as required.
Ensure a professional level of customer service is delivered by all staff at all times.
Ensure that Restaurant area is clean throughout the day and meet health & safety requirements including quarterly risk assessments.
Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to learn quickly
Strong customer interaction skills with the ability to provide customers with personable, friendly and knowledgeable service
A vibrant personality and attention to detail
Bilingual preferred (Mandarin or Cantonese).
Salary: $56,000.00 – $59,999.00 per year
