Your Role in a nutshell;
The main requirement of Analyst within the SEO CRO & Outreach team is to provide a supporting role, ensuring that all SEO CRO & Outreach Campaigns are executed effectively and help to drive organic performance for our clients business’.
The majority of this role will focus upon the off-page side of SEO. As Analyst you will play a key role in helping to activate creative content & outreach campaigns. This main objective of this role is to earn online coverage and backlinks across relevant and authoritative external websites through media relations - you’ll be speaking to top tier digital publishers, national and regional press, editorial webmasters & bloggers regularly.
You will help create & distribute content designed specifically for outreach which encompassing outreach, link acquisition & digital PR techniques for SEO benefit.
Occasionally there will be a requirement to support the wider SEO team with more traditional areas of SEO such as technical reporting as well as CRO & user experience testing when needed at the team leads discretion.

As Outreach & Campaign Analyst you will work with the Outreach & Campaign Director and wider SEO team to ensure operational excellence for all of our client’s outreach campaign work and from day one, you’ll be a key player in the team.
Outreach Develop a solid knowledge across Digital Link Acquisition strategies & Outreach tactics with some working knowledge across more traditional areas of SEO & Conversion rate optimisation (CRO). Ongoing Identification of authoritative & relevant key partner & third-party websites who could provide targeted outreach opportunities for client content campaigns. Continuously source contact details of suitable journalists, editors, webmasters & bloggers to be contacted for outreach purposes as you help to build a media list of key websites using industry tools such as Gorkana, Twitter & Buzzsumo. Contacting media, journalists and webmasters to build relationships across a number of industries. Communicate clearly and effectively with outreach targets to sell in data-led stories to acquire digital coverage & backlinks pointing to client’s content onsite using Buzzstream. Monitor outreach email open rates. Identify & track any digital coverage & backlinks gained due to launch of outreach campaigns. utilising Google Alerts, Buzzsumo & manual monitoring techniques. Conduct client competitor & industry research surrounding creative content and link acquisition campaigns using Ahrefs, Majestic SEO & Buzzsumo to uncover key tactics in play & how brands are earning backlinks and digital coverage. Effectively communicate industry and competitor trends & strategies relating to link acquisition campaigns back to the wider SEO team. Work with the wider outreach team to ideate & build bespoke data-led creative content for the purpose of gaining digital coverage, backlinks, engagement, and associated rankings to supporting wider SEO goals. Proactively keep an eye on the latest industry Outreach, link building & Digital PR campaign techniques and relay findings back to the wider team. Help develop & ideate content campaigns with the sole purpose of gaining backlinks and coverage. Attend internal & external training across relevant industry areas of knowledge.

Resilient in nature and are able to work in a fast-paced environment handling different tasks at the same time.
Key Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Communication, Media, Marketing, or related field A keen interest in digital marketing specifically SEO, organic search, and outreach/digital PR. Working knowledge of Excel, Word and Power Point.

In 3 months, you would have: Had training on the key tools and systems required to work effectively and are actively using them in your day to day role contributing to the support of the team, You are up to speed with your teams roles and your client portfolio, understanding what is required of the Wavemaker team and your role in particular, Immersed yourself in the team with an understanding of the status of all active and upcoming campaigns. Started to establish collaborative relationships with all key stakeholders and internal teams
In 6 months, you would have: Demonstrated your ability to deliver on all aspects of the role in an efficient, effective, and proactive way. Strengthened your key stakeholder relationships to deliver great team work consistently. Become comfortable in your day to day tasks
In 12 months, you would have: Demonstrated independence in undertaking tasks to support the SEO CRO & Outreach team and client requests, including being fully confident on the key tools, processes & systems. Established yourself and are recognised at Wavemaker as an integral member of the team, with a comprehensive understanding of how the team and company operates.
