The opportunity
Reporting to the Production Director, the role of the Trades and Production Capability Manager is accountable and responsible for the leadership, quality and performance of the Thales Garden Island Trade and Production Group.
About the role
About you
The successful candidate will demonstrate extensive experience working in an operational setting, preferably a heavy industry, and well as extensive leaderships skills that have been honed in production services and materials handling environments. You will be adept at problem solving and implementing solutions within a multidisciplinary team environment and will also possess influential communication skills. Your focus on safety will be paramount and, as such, a background in facilitating work health and safety risk assessments and managing risk processes will be key. Additionally you will be experienced in managing unionised workforces and legislative requirements under the 2016 Building code.
Previous experience in building compelling business cases through sound data analysis, understanding financial models and utilising a LEAN approach will also be key in this role Your experience will be supported by project management qualifications.
