Over the next five years, our partnership with SA Water will encompassfive water treatment plants and five wastewater treatment plants inmetropolitan Adelaide, along with the network water and wastewater pump stations.

Who are we looking for?

You will ideally bring with you the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Engineering qualifications
  • Financial knowledge and skills: development of Business Plans and options analysis tools e.g., Net Present Value and Return on Investment calculations
  • Experience in a water business environment and in an industrial workplace. 
  • Experience in water activities acquired in operations, technical support roles or innovation and/or improvement project management. 
  • Knowledge of water, wastewater and water reuse treatment processes, as well as health and safety, environmental and regulatory requirements and drivers. 
  • Experience in project management of improvement projects (or projects portfolios). 
  • Project Management skills: development of Business Cases, Project Management Plans and Closeout Reports. 
  • Delivery and continuous improvement focus. 
  • Autonomy and good organisational skills. 
  • Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders and to engage these to support improvement projects. 
  • What will you be doing? As part of the Innovation and Improvement business unit, the purpose of the Business Improvement Manager role is to develop, drive and manage business improvement programs fed by innovation and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure sustainable financial OPEX savings against the Alliance Annual Budget Costs (ABC) are achieved as per operational efficiencies contractual commitments and targets.
