The External Acquisition team drives a highly integrated multi-channel acquisition and product strategy with a strong focus on innovation and investment efficiency. The team is responsible for a sizeable budget and is goaled with continuously improving channel and campaign effectiveness to maximise return on investment. In order to support the successful delivery of our acquisition plans and to optimise investments to drive further growth, we are creating a new role of Manager, Consumer Acquisition Planning & Performance.

Reporting into the VP, Consumer Acquisition, the candidate will need to have a strong grasp of analytical and financial performance which they will use to take the lead on performance reporting, business planning and budget management activities. Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Lead and drive performance & planning for Acquisition for Australia including supporting plan development, monitoring key inputs & tracking results on a monthly basis
  • Work alongside the Acquisition Leadership Team to provide insights and analysis that underpin marketing strategies aligned to the broader business priorities
  • Work with the Acquisition leaders to have a clear view of channel / product performance to help inform investment decisions
  • Lead initiatives to understand Acquisition effectiveness such as deep dives into channel, campaign and product performance
  • Develop and maintain a rolling forecast process
  • Support effective results tracking and marketing performance monitoring including the updating of monthly performance and financial results for all of Acquisition and David Jones.
  • Partner with Finance and Budget Management Team to ensure effective management of Advertising & Promotions (A&P) investments. This includes accurate tracking and reconciliation of A&P investment and outlook throughout the year.
  • Close alignment with Analytics team to review and revise key inputs to ensure reporting accuracy
  • Preparation of local, regional and global business unit review updates for senior leaders and market visits
  • Lead the monthly Unfunded A&P Request and Risk/Opps performance adjustments
  • Act as key linkage with the Central COE teams in the analysis and consolidation of reporting for the region
  • Identify and execute on performance reporting opportunities
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • High proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Powerpoint, SQL and Machine Learning Studio

  • Independently manage own workload in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of leadership
  • Strong attention to detail, with emphasis on accuracy, quality, timeliness and follow through
  • Degree qualified in a business discipline, preferred 5+ year’s experience in finance, strategy or analytics role
