The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Lead Service Engineer to join our team in Tullamarine. This position will be responsible for supervising the Victoria Service team.

The Lead Service Engineer will work closely with the Service Engineers, ensuring efficient and fast service is provided to our existing customer base. They will also provide technical support to the Service Engineers across the region.

Key responsibilities:

  • To lead the regional Service Engineering team.
  • To work with the Service Manager to ensure that there are adequate resources in the relevant region.
  • Work closely with the Service Coordinator to ensure correct level of resourcing for planned works.
  • Provide feedback and where appropriate, assist with performance reviews with team members
  • Ensure unscheduled works are completed in an agreeable timeframe
  • To ensure that all labour resource is maximized 80-95%
  • Carry out service work as required
  • Manage the use of materials, tools and consumables for all work
  • Act as a nominated supervisor as per legislation
  • Be available to support the Service Engineers who are on call and also personal provide on call support, as required
  • Manage the use of materials, tools and consumables for all work
  • Operate all manual service engineering equipment
  • To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Hold, or ability to obtain, a ‘Qualified Supervisor Certificate’ or equivalent
  • Fault-finding skills with the ability to make good decisions under pressure
  • 3-5 years' experience in a relevant role (automation equipment experience highly desired)
  • Previous people management experience would be preferable.
  • Fitting experience with proven quality outcomes
  • Manual machining experience
  • Understanding of pneumatic hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Right to live and work in Australia permanently
