Piacentini & Son is an earthmoving and mining contractor specialising in bulk earthworks, supply of mobile mining and earthmoving equipment, road haulage and heavy transportation, and rehabilitation services.

We have an opportunity for self-motivated and enthusiastic Heavy Diesel / Duty Mechanics to join our Newman project in the Pilbara or a new project commencing in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.


To succeed in these roles with Piacentini, you will need –

  • Demonstrated experience in more than one of the following - CAT, Hitachi, Komatsu equipment
  • Trade experience in a mining or civil engineering environment on large scale equipment.
  • Australian recognised Trade Qualification.
  • Current Drivers Licence.
  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team to complete jobs to a high standard.
  • A proven commitment to and compliance with site safety standards.

  • On Offer:

  • Full-time rates available up to $77 per hour
  • Superannuation on all hours worked
  • Permanent and casual opportunities available in both the Pilbara and Kimberley regions
  • FIFO from Perth
  • 2:1 roster working days only
  • Be responsible for helping managing a range of mobile fleet
  • Work autonomously while being supported by site supervisors
