The Role

  • Delivering excellent clinical care in the community through a range of programs and funding streams including Rehabilitation at Home, Hospital in the Home, Home Care Package, Commonwealth Home Support and NDIS.
  • Delivery of evidence based occupational therapy assessment, and interventions, for clients with permanent disability, complex health conditions or age-related care needs.
  • Promoting optimal quality of life for the client and carer, to meet their personal goals and promote ongoing health, safety and independence within the home and community. 
  • Prescription of assistive equipment, home environment modifications, and support services to assist to meet the goals of the client and carers.
  • Promoting a positive team culture, through participation in team meetings, professional development, and quality improvement in service delivery.
  • Sharing patient progress and working with other healthcare professionals, like GPs, physiotherapists, podiatrists and exercises physiologists.
  • Building partnerships within teams to promote integrated service delivery.
  • Improving the health and wellbeing of hundreds of Australians.

  • About You

  • Experience in community-based Occupational Therapy role is desirable. 
  • Sound understanding of acute orthopaedic rehabilitation (i.e. joint replacements).
  • Strong administration and time management skills in addition to being tech savvy.
  • Passionate about Occupational Therapy and committed to making a real difference in the community.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy or above with current AHPRA registration.
  • Registered, insured and roadworthy vehicle and valid driver’s license.
