The ICT Services Branch requires a Business Analyst to assist in the delivery of diverse and varied projects, centred around a large scale digital transformation that is currently underway.
Duties Ability to synthesise business and technical requirements/concepts and present them in simple terms. Working with both traditional and Agile delivery practices including backlog creation / refinement and associated requirements gathering, data discovery and analysis. Outcome focus, with an ability to effectively challenge while retaining a customer focus Self-managing, adaptable and quick to learn Ability to work well with dynamic technical teams, business stakeholders and 3rd party providers Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements Suggest changes/enhancements to Senior Management using analytics to support your recommendations and actively participate in the implementation of approved changes Conduct insightful, ad hoc analysis to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues Work with various business units to support and maintain new and existing customer data and system integrations.
Essential Criteria ( please only apply if you have all or most of the below): Demonstrated 5 years' experience working in a federal government environment. Proven experience, of greater than 3 years, in a senior technical role relating to cloud platforms including delivery of new services and ongoing maintenance. Experience in Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services, preferably both. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively liaise and keep stakeholders informed and engaged, both verbally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, cultivating productive working relationships across multiple projects and business areas. Demonstrated experience and flexibility to adapt to agile and waterfall processes to project activities when required. Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating with technical SME's to define and obtain an understanding of business needs and technical constraints. Demonstrated experience to effectively analysing business processes to identify and define business improvements.
