Conduct research and development (planning, execution and interpretation) on therapeutic antibody discovery projects with a focus on screening antibodies in a range of medium-to-high throughput cell-based assay platforms.
Hands-on laboratory-based role employing the following capabilities:

A BSc (Hons) in life sciences with emphasis on cell biology, immunology physiology or pharmacology. Previous experience in industry-based R&D will be highly regarded.
Professional Experience / Knowledge
Experience with mammalian cell culture techniques, including transient transfection of mammalian cells.
Understanding of the drug discovery and development process related to therapeutic antibodies.
Experience with medium-to-high throughput cell-based functional assays.
Knowledge of general molecular and protein biology, including handling and preparation of DNA.
Experience with flow cytometry, immunoassays and Surface Plasmon Resonance binding assays (E.g. Biacore etc.) desirable.
Experience with automated liquid handling systems desirable.
Experience with cell-based assays for ion channels, in particular calcium-flux and membrane potential assays using FLIPR/Flexstation desirable.
Actively interested in therapeutic drug discovery and development.
