We are seeking a highly-motivated Customer Service Consultant - Air to join our friendly team in Melbourne, fixed term for 1 year initially with the opportunity to become permanent.·Act as a liaison between Sales, Operations, Account Management and the Customer for assigned accounts to ensure the customer's processes and procedural requirements are followed and shipments are handled in accordance to implemented SOPs;
·Support existing and new products and services, look at ways of reducing costs and increasing profitability for the company and retaining existing clients and business;
·Coordinate customer shipments with Schenker origin office, whilst continuing to monitor shipments until destination delivery ensuring customer agreed service levels/value add services are met;
·Solve customer complaints in conjunction with responsible departments;
·Escalate complaints of service failures to designated manager/supervisor for action and recommend solutions to prevent similar occurrences;
·Ensure all responsible parties are informed and customer files updated regarding changing client requirements and/or KPI's as they occur;
·Assist and resolve invoice queries in conjunction with operations/account management;·Pre alert customers to extra ordinary charges prior to billing and get acceptance.
Qualifications Qualifications: ·Five years Customer Service experience, ideally in Air Freight;
·Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, highly service orientated;
·Competent computer skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
·Sound knowledge of sea operations both import & export;·Strong relationship management and influencing skills.
