Our Role

Our HR Officer reports to the HR Manager for our Southern and Northern regions, spanning Australia and New Zealand, and is responsible for supporting our globally steered and locally executed human resources activities spanning recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training and development, and payroll and benefits administration.

Key responsibilities as part of our global hr function include;

  • Manage HR documentation and administration requirements through the end to end employee lifecycle (e.g. new hires, onboarding, performance management, payroll, compensation and benefits, promotions, exits)
  • Coordinate with global HR leadership and local HR management, the efficient and effective administration and implementation of hr initiatives (e.g. service awards, employee assistance, mandatory compliance training)
  • Support local payroll delivery with clarification and collation of weekly time card reporting
  • Support managers and recruitment specialists with Plant recruitment needs
  • Support implementation of learning and development activities, including the rollout of compliance based training requirements
  • Support any HR systems or process familiarisation or training to reinforce global business tools and processes
  • Other ad hoc duties required to support HR functions
  • The successful candidate may have a Business Administration or Human Resources background, preferably within the mining, manufacturing or related industries. Experience supporting multi locations is preferable. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work well autonomously, and as part of a team environment, is necessary. Familiarity with JD Edwards ERP, ADP Payroll System and Taleo ATS is desirable.
