Mining Wear Parts (MWP) is a leading provider in the mining services sector with a significant footprint in crushing, in particular.
MWP is pleased to offer a newly created role to support MWP’s expansion in the WA market.
The role reports directly to the WA Sales Manager and will be based in our Bibra Lake Office.
The role is for an experienced Mining sales professional or a trade qualified fitter or boilermaker with fixed plant maintenance experience looking to move into a technical sales role.
This role will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities across the Mining, Aggregate, Recycling, and Mobile Crushing industries with the specific purpose of achieving the MWP Sales budget and Margins for the MRL group.
Accountabilities Full accountability of the entire sales process. Inventory Planning for each and every client to forecast their usage and needs so MWP can better plan their stock holding and purchasing rates Site visits and client trips on a regular basis Sales Budgeting – Forecasting site by site, machine by machine the expected sales throughout your territory of responsibility Attending conferences and exhibitions as required to market the company and our products and services Make regular contact with all clients via phone, email, social media, in person using approved marketing and methods as approved by MRL prior to sending it out of the company Contribute to the development of appropriate contract management tools, guidelines and manuals for standardisation and knowledge sharing purposes Ensure key meetings and work procedures are properly documented and institutionalised within the Sales SharePoint document centre Undertaking market surveys to ensure the availability of up to date information for strategic parts and services categories Foster trust relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure maximum business penetration of sales initiatives Assist with the development of forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory
Experience Required A strong sales background related to mining -or a trade qualified fitter or boilermaker with fixed plant experience looking to move into a technical sales role Ideally 5 years proven working experience in a sales development and client management Current car drivers license Experience with fixed plant equipment, mining related products is essential A clear understanding of the sales process from first meeting to fulfilling a client’s requirements to winning orders and the needs of the client to keep winning future orders by developing the relationship Ability to efficiently travel around arid deserted parts of our country to visit the clients independently and safely Excellent organisational skills. Must be able to prioritise to ensure their super-efficient whilst seeking new business and managing existing business
