The retail products team within Quantium is world class; this team is accountable for the largest product portfolio in the business, generating over $80m per year in revenues and plays a key role in the overall success of the business. We are experiencing high growth in the portfolio through both new products and expansion into new retailers both in Australia and internationally. This is an opportunity to be part of a team who develop ground-breaking decision-making capability for Retail/FMCG clients in areas such as pricing and promotions optimisation, ranging, supply chain optimisation and targeted marketing. The Role The Product Lead, Retail Products is a product management role which has end to end accountability for one or several (depends on product size) of Quantiums Retail/FMCG products. Youll be responsible for all commercial and client-facing aspects of the product, including having of a deep understanding of customer needs; developing a compelling vision for the product aligned to Quantiums strategic business objectives; managing senior internal and external stakeholders; developing roadmaps and prioritising features that maximise customer value. The Product Lead is also accountable for the development of product management artefacts and marketing collateral, and acts as a product SME supporting sales efforts. Reporting to the Executive Manager, Retail Products, you will develop, implement and continuously improve our go to market strategy for our products, ensuring product-market fit, as well as seeking additional customer insight to better develop the product. Youll effectively act as a CEO for the product. Strong partnering and influencing skills will be required for this role as well as the ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments while focusing on your ideal outcome. Key Responsibilities Developing an understanding of end user needs and using that knowledge to shape the product roadmap Managing the pipeline of new feature development Handling commercial aspects of the product, including Pricing strategy for new clients Development of standard commercial terms Signoff responsibility for negotiated terms where these deviate from the standard Accountable for profitability of the product and management of delivery to budget Balancing client requests with delivering sustainable and profitable growth for Quantium Liaising with internal sales teams, both domestic and international, to support product sales efforts, acting as a subject matter expert on Quantiums capability Working with key stakeholders to develop a strategy and associated roadmap for Quantiums capability Conducting market analysis, including assessment of competitor threats, market changes and competitor strategy, and defining where the value proposition of Quantiums solution sits in the market Partnering with the Delivery Manager to lead a cross-functional squad of analysts, engineers and user experience specialists in the delivery of new features on the roadmap Liaising with internal support teams to ensure the platform and other internal support requested by the delivery team is available Development of tracking and reporting to the wider business of core product performance metrics Promoting awareness of the product capability across the wider business, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information on the capability, product vision and strategy is widely available and accessible About you Ideally, you will have a strong FMCG background in the strategic revenue management domain and a passion for promotions and / or a B2B product management background in an environment of technical complexity We will also consider candidates with similar experience in a management consulting environment, managing analytical / technical solutions within an FMCG context Approx. 3 years experience using Agile methodology or equivalent A systems thinker, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to structure solutions Highly numerate and comfortable in working in an environment of high complexity - a tertiary qualification in a technical field, such as information management, computer science, software engineering, mathematics or statistics may be an advantage; as would a background in data science, analytics or software development Able to quickly pick up complex concepts and deploy them to good effect when describing the product as an SME Well-developed senior stakeholder management and influencing skills Strong commercial acumen Experienced team leader Superior presentation and communications skills (written and verbal)
