We have a exciting 12month max term contract opportunity for People & Culture Specialist (Payroll & Compliance) to provide specialist payroll advice and support to ensure the effective delivery of project outcomes.
Reporting to the Project Manager, the People & Culture Advisor (Payroll & Compliance) will provide subject matter expertise on payroll process in a project setting, to ensure we are offering the best service offering to our business and stakeholders. Prior project experience is highly regarded. In addition, you will also be required to understand and work within a shared services environment to ensure operational aspects of end-to-end payroll activities are delivered within appropriate timeframes and comply with relevant legislation. Other key responsibilities for this role include: Specialist payroll oversight and delivery of agreed programs of work Working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to identify appropriate opportunities for continuous improvement of payroll service offering, processes and procedures (including automation) and driving execution of deliverables. Ensuring operational aspects of end to end payroll activities are delivered within appropriate timeframes, considering dependencies and downstream impacts, and complying with relevant legislation and other regulatory requirements. Providing timely technical payroll advice on escalated matters as required. Providing technical advice and coaching across the team and broader stakeholder cohort in relation to technical payroll matters and considerations. Undertaking control tests in relation to risk and compliance management within the team. Maintaining a working knowledge across the changing landscape internally and externally and aligning practice as appropriate.
Skills & Experience
To be considered for these pivotal roles, you will possess the following: Accounting, Finance, Business, HR qualification or degree – desired 3-5 years demonstrated experience within payroll in a mid to large organisation Demonstrated experience and exposure to complex payroll matters and problem solving Previous payroll compliance exposure and experience Demonstrated operational experience and customer service Demonstrated ability to interpret complex requirements and translate them into recommendations for system and process improvements
