About the role
All progress begins with pioneers. At Rio Tinto, it begins with you.
We are looking for an Occupational Hygiene Technician to work within the HSE CMX team to provide occupational hygiene services and support to the Bell Bay Aluminium site.
This hands-on role will give you broad and practical experience, including in many areas of occupational hygiene unique to the aluminum smelting industry. A great opportunity for a strong communicator who has a desire to influence exposure reduction initiatives, as well as learn and develop within this exciting profession.
In addition to paying competitively and providing great benefits packages, we want you to live the lifestyle that is right for you and your family. Because of our size and scale, there are many opportunities to learn, grow and do more than you ever thought possible. Every hour of every shift, your safety and wellbeing are our number one priority. We do the work only if it is safe, and we invest to make sure every member of the team has the quality tools they need to do their job.
Reporting to the Specialist Occupational Hygiene, you will work a day roster (Monday – Friday). Due to the need for regular 12-hour shifts, to meet the requirements of the hygiene sampling program, your roster will be negotiated to meet the needs of both yourself and the sampling program. You will be:
