Talent International are currently looking for a Cyber Security Advisor for one of our Brisbane based Government clients. This is an initial contract role until end of May 2021.

As a Cyber Security Advisor, you will assist in establishing a suite of cyber security product and service offerings for use within this Government department. 

Responsibilities :
  • Developing an understanding of cyber security product and service requirements for Queensland Government agencies and identifying opportunities to create value and drive efficiency. 
  • Organising facilitating workshops to engage with a range of government ICT practitioners and industry stakeholders to understand product and service requirements.
  • Working with the department's Strategic ICT Sourcing team and other government stakeholders to document key focus areas for centralised procurement arrangements and developing a structured approach for Queensland Government to engage with cyber security vendors.
  • Developing cyber security product and service specifications and other procurement documentation.
  • Engaging with government agencies and other stakeholders through cyber security communities of practice networks to promote awareness and best practice standards practices across government.
  • Requirements :
  • Knowledge of information security service and product suites relevant for a large complex enterprise environment
  • Experience in procurement and/or tender processes including analysing information security services and products
  • Understanding of information security challenges of a large complex organisation particularly internal and external stakeholder relationships, market engagement and governance 
  • Verbal and written communication skills to explain complex information risk and security issues in a manner that is easily understood and constructively challenges prevailing thoughts and processes 
  • Skills and personal qualities to facilitate workshops and working groups and develop collaboratively working relationships within a team and external stakeholders.
