The Opportunity

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an energetic and hardworking individual to join the talented Concrete Plus NZ Sales team. As a successful Territory Manager in this highly autonomous role, your key focus will be increasing the market share of Fosroc brand of products into the Central North Island from below Hamilton city boundary south to Wellington. You could be based in any location across central north island willing to travel the territory and build your network. 

 You will predominately be on the road visiting your customers to gain sales, influence buying habits across your network, and upsell premium brands. When not out on the road you will be planning for the days ahead, booking sales meetings, and diligently developing individual gap plans for key growth potential customers ensuring a consistent, structured, and targeted approach.

 We are looking for someone who is eager to do well, always learn more, and make our customers happy.

 What you will bring and develop

You are a self-motivated person able to plan and strategize their day so that their actions fit in with the goals of the team. You interact at all levels with ease and comfortable talking to engineers and architects in a boardroom or ankle-deep in mud on-site with contractors.

 A good understanding of the commercial civil construction industry with an ability to read project plans will be advantageous to succeed in this role. 

To be successful in this role you will also demonstrate:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to harness established customer relationships and create new ones
  • Prior sales experience in the commercial construction industry is preferred
  • Great time management and organisation
  • Resilience, adaptability, and flexibility
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills with experience with CRM’s, Excel, and word at a minimum
  • Lateral thinking and problem solving
