NES Fircroft are recruiting for a HSE Officer to join a renewable energy client during a construction phase of a project based near Hillston, NSW. 

- 12 month fixed term contract
- Expected Salary: $80k - $100k inclusive of superannuation
- Start date: immediate
- Standard hours: Monday - Friday (may be some weekends required as the project progresses)

**A local candidate preferred, or somebody who is willing to relocate to the Hillston / Griffith area for the duration of the project - no FIFO / DIDO / allowances**

Position Description: Reporting into the HSE Manager, the HSE Officer will have the following responsibilities:

Develop, train others, enforce, and audit safety standards and regulations.

Document safety policies, training, regulations, compliance, and adverse events.

Conduct walkthroughs and formal audits to evaluate safety needs and policies.

Monitor equipment moves and maintenance, and make changes to procedures.

monitor construction progress;

ensure the Project is delivered in accordance with the Project’s Environmental, Health and Safety procedures and requirements;

regularly review compliance with the Project’s health, safety and environmental obligations under the Head Contract and any other regulation

Issue weekly and monthly report related to HSE matters along with the KPIs.

Monitor and control the inspection and certificates related with equipment and tools on site, keeping updated the logs.

Support the QA/QC Manager in the preparation of the Method of statements required for the Project.

Provide health and safety training to all workers on site.

Manage injury and compliance investigations.

Develop and implement environment, health, and safety compliance plans

Must haves:

HSE certification

First Aid Certificate

A strong understanding of risk and regulatory requirements associated with a construction project

Construction White Card

Strong Computer skills highly desirable
