  • The Senior Finance Account Manager nurtures internal and external relationships, strategically designs communications and analysis to non-Finance managers in the business to build organisational capability. The Senior Finance Account Manager steers and implements changes, and leads the Section on internal development and the resolution of complex issues. This role acts as a key link between DVA’s Divisions and the Finance and Property Branch.

    Duties

    In accordance with the principles of workplace diversity, Work Health and Safety, participative work practices, APS values and APS Employment Principles. Expected duties include:

  • Engage and collaborate with key senior stakeholders in Divisions and the Finance and Property Branch to establish and facilitate an ongoing working relationship;
  • Provide complex financial advice and direction to support decision-making by the Senior Executive, Divisional staff and project teams;
  • Coordinate and review divisional information and processes applied to produce financial reports;
  • Conduct complex financial analysis to support business planning, projects and investment decisions;
  • Engage with stakeholders to identify and develop solutions to manage risks and issues to support robust business and finance processes and decision-making;
  • Consider and effectively manage Division budget development, cash and expenditure forecasting and strategic long-term financial planning to support the financial direction of DVAs;
  • Provide expertise across a broad range of financial management services to meet statutory compliance requirements;
  • Identify and develop operational strategies to support development of financial capability and accountability of staff and management within a Division/s ; and
  • Provide support to team members to develop their financial capability.
