We are seeking to appoint a casual Early Years Educator (Children’s Services Employee) at St Benedict's Kindergarten based at Mango Hill.

St Benedict's Kindergarten Mango Hill is a Stand Alone Kindergarten co located on the Campus of St Benedict Catholic Primary and Secondary College. The Kindergarten is a sessional Kindergarten in operation from 8.30am-2.45pm Monday to Friday, term time only.We are looking for a casual educator who specialises in supporting children with inclusion needs. The successful applicant will need to work as an integral part of the teaching team and be knowledgeable of both the Early Years Framework along with the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines.

Hours:  Casual (varied)
Remuneration:  as per the Children’s Services Modern Award 2010. Level 3.1 to Level 3.4 depending on qualifications and experience - $30.3619 to $32.5066.

  • Work with the children to create fun recreational and educational experiences that support their well-being.
  • Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming and nurturing environment.
  • Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
  • Participate in professional and personal development.
  • Promote the service within the local community in accordance with Catholic Early EdCare’s expectations and educational philosophy.
    • Job Requirements:
  • Holds a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care (or working towards) OR holds an equivalent qualification recognised by ACECQA 
  • Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the child care industry practices including legislative requirements and quality frameworks.
  • A passion for the education and care of children aged 6 months -Kindergarten aged in a play-based learning environment
  • Effective workplace communication skills
