We are currently seeking a Mine Assistant to join the Mine Development Team within the George Fisher Operations Department. Reporting directly to the Development Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting the frontline development operators to safely achieve the mine plan. This position is residentially based in Mount Isa on a day and night, 7 on 7 off rotating roster.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a multi-skilled operator, with a strong commitment to safety. You will also have underground metalliferous mining experience with a strong background in development mining. Your duties will include, however not be limited to, installation of mine services, development loader operations and assisting frontline Jumbo operators. Development charging experience will be highly regarded.

To be successful the candidate must hold an Elphinstone 1700 loader ticket or an equivalent competency. It is necessary that the individual will be able to obtain a police clearance in order to gain a charging ticket. It is paramount that safety is at the forefront of all tasks.
