Broome North Primary School (PS) is seeking a motivated and dedicated leader to join their team.
Broome North PS is an Independent Public School that caters for children from Kindergarten to Year . The school, opened in , is a modern facility located on Yawuru land in the coastal town of Broome, part of Western Australia's stunning Kimberley region.
The successful applicant will be responsible for continuing a school culture that promotes positive relationships between students, staff and community. They will be responsible for continuing to foster academic, social and emotional development for students, as well as engaging a diverse school community in the educational programs of the school. They will possess a commitment to continuous school improvement and evidence-based classroom practice and aim to build partnerships with external agencies and services to benefit school programs.
The successful applicant will also be innovative and creative in the leadership of systems and structures to deliver educational excellence through a safe, respectful and supportive environment. They will continue to foster students’ academic and social emotional needs to support them to unlock and fulfil their individual capabilities. They will have knowledge of and lead the management of planning, delivery, evaluation and improvement of the education of all students. In addition to this, the Principal will ensure compliance and accountability for the overall management and development of the school within Government and Departmental policies and guidelines.
The school values the learning and behaviour programs that are in place and supports staff to deliver high quality explicit teaching programs that are evidence based. The successful applicant will work closely with the Kimberley School Project (KSP) to maintain consistent, quality learning programs and engage in rigorous analysis of student data. The successful applicant will be a team player with a commitment to whole school approaches, well-considered resource allocation, strategic professional learning and performance improvement processes.
