About the role

This role sits in the City Presentation department which maintains all Casey’s facilities, infrastructure, parks and open space. This position sits in a team that manages all Council’s buildings and structures valued at $ million from the largest aquatic centres, offices, theatres to sporting pavilions down to the small shelters.

The Building and Facilities Officers ensure that Council’s buildings, plant, equipment and services are maintained in an efficient, safe and operational condition.

In this role you will

  • Be an active member of a small team
  • Triage reported maintenance issues and issue Work Orders to contractors
  • Engage, supervise and audit contractors completing approved building, minor capital works, plant and equipment related maintenance tasks.
  • Provide administration assistance that includes maintaining all asset related files, corporate database systems and records, including work requests, purchase orders, invoice processing
  • Assist with customer queries where required
  • Ensure project objectives are met by anticipating and proactively handling potential and emerging issues.

    • About you

  • Experience within Building Maintenance is highly desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Current drivers license which is valid to drive a passenger vehicle within Victoria.
  • National Criminal History Check & Working with Children Check.
