The Trade Managementrole in the Australian cash securities business is responsible for day to daytrade capture, allocation and confirmation functions supporting various tradingdesks including High Touch, Electronic Trading, Program Trading, ProprietaryTrading, Equity Finance & Prime Brokerage desks. This team acts as thefirst point of contact for both our external & internal clients and isresponsible for overall post-trade client experience. The team is wellpositioned as a line of defense performing various control, reconciliation andvalidation functions.

The position includesthe following roles and responsibilities:-

  • Responsible for accurate trade booking and allocations.
  • Providing analysis and management of information and data received by the team.
  • You are responsible for trade confirmations via OMGEO CTM, IRESS and Email.
  • Handling trade give-ups over TRAIANA and handle exceptions.
  • Responsible for cancel and correct, trade breaks and address root-cause issues.
  • Independently handle reconciliations and other assigned control functions.
  • Co-ordinate with cross-functional business partners across the bank i.e. Front Office, Settlements, Corporate Actions and other control teams from a trade management perspective.
  • Act as a line of defense by remediating and raising any trade or control related issues. Ensuring the right controls are practiced throughout the reconciliation and validation processes.
  • Act as Single Point of Contact to handle queries from internal and external clients for trade booking, allocation and confirmation related queries.
  • Contribute to change-the bank and run-the bank initiatives.

  • Bachelor degree or 5 years of proven relevant experience is required.
  • Good understanding of trade life-cycle and market nuances.
  • Hands-on exposure to various trade matching platforms i.e. CTM, IRESS, TRAIANA
  • Hands-on with Ms Excel and peripheral tools.
  • A self-starter who can work independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Phenomenal level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task under pressure and work to intra-day deadlines.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to thrive in a fast paced high-pressure situations
  • Demonstrate control acumen and ownership of breaks, exceptions and red-flag items.
  • Experience of Front Office facing functions a plus.
  • A “positive can do approach”!
