Service Technician – Mechanical

The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Service Technician to maximise the availability of Aggreko's Power rental assets. This includes the maintenance and repair of equipment across our client base, working out of our Adelaide Depot.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out the preventative and scheduled maintenance of hire fleet assets for optimised performance
  • Maintain the levels of all required materials and ensure the appropriate tools are in place and maintained 
  • Contribute to optimum team performance and capability by providing quality workmanship to maintain and enhance the reliability of equipment.
  • Carry out effective troubleshooting to minimise downtime 
  • Maintain and enhance relationships and communication with internal and external customers.
  • Provide technical support to the Sales Team when required.
  • Work in a safe manner abiding by the company policy.

    • About You

  • Trade qualification as a mechanic
  • Previous experience working with heavy duty diesel engines (Power generation applications experience an advantage)
  • Excellent Mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with Cummins, Iveco or Scania industrial engine products an advantage.
  • Local and Regional South Australia travel is required
  • Current driver's licence, as well as current forklift licence.
  • Use of digital devices to record work performed
  • There will be both workshop and client site responsibilities
