What you’ll do

We are seeking a Technical Consultant in the Asia Pacific region. You will engage our cloud and information services teams to deliver on the promise of turning data into insight. Your primary focus will be relating SAS platform requirements into fit for cloud technical architecture. Careful development of best practices suited for delivery and ongoing support increases the likelihood of successful customer outcomes. Guiding and empowering anyone at SAS to architect for delivery and transition to Managed Application Services is at the core of your work.

As a member of a global and highly experienced team, you will get the opportunity to develop and enhance your skills and abilities, and to contribute knowledge and ideas that increase customer satisfaction, profitability, and efficiencies in line with the SAS values and business plan.


  • Works and collaborates with others on setting best practices for deploying the foundational elements of the SAS platform (Kubernetes, VM, storage, networking, authentication).
  • Design and test Azure cloud native services that can reduce requirements when hosting the SAS platform.
  • Consult on defining methods to integrate specialized analytics customer requirements with the SAS hosting platform (data lake, batch processing, streaming, data science lifecycle, multi-tenant).
  • Integrate future SAS solutions and lines of business onto the SAS hosting platform.
  • Research and write whitepapers, documentation for Sales and solution architects to pull from for customer proposals.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current on the best practices in SAS architecture.
  • What we’re looking for:


  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science, engineering or similar.
  • Two years of technical consulting experience.
  • Experience consulting for public cloud delivery. Azure preferred.
  • Experience with microservices based applications.
  • Experience architecting for stateless and stateful services.
  • Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience writing technical requirements specifications.
  • Experience with architecture diagramming tools (Visio, Lucidchart).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
  • Travel: as business requirements dictate.
  • Preferred:

  • TOGAF certification
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Microsoft Azure related administeration / architecture certifications
