This exciting opportunity involves managing the development of Speech Processor and related product development, from concept to launch and beyond. You will help ensure the product meets or exceeds the business and customer needs as defined in the strategic product brief and product concept summary. The role shall also ensure that the product meets a high standard of design and usability.
You Will Be Accountable For
Project Management and Execution Directs a cross-functional team, including marketing, manufacturing, supply chain, and others to define and deliver products that exceed customer expectations. Creates, executes and revises as appropriate project activities, work estimates, functional and technical specifications, and project schedules/plans and to meet changing needs and requirements of the business and end user. Sets up a team structure that supports the project work plan. Leads a multidiscipline, cross-functional projects team to achieve the projects goals.
Managing Stakeholders and Building Relationships Identifies and manages stakeholders, at all levels and across all divisions of Cochlear as well as key customer, suppliers and partners. Gains a deep understanding for the business and customer needs for the product and knows how to interpret customer conversations into pragmatic solutions that serve both Cochlear, the clinical customer and recipients. Manages day-to-day interactions with proxy-users, customers and business partners (both internal and external).
People Leadership and Process Improvement Conducts effective performance evaluations and mentors those with less experience through formal channels. Helps team execute career development plans and works with resource managers to develop the team holistically. Seeks and participates in development opportunities above and beyond training required by Cochlear. Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes and drives solutions to improve our processes.
Minimum: Qualifications, background experience, knowledge, organizational knowledge, knowledge of other business activities, skills etc. Experience in managing delivery / implementation teams comprising of technical and functional professionals independently with limited guidance Knowledge of and experience with estimating and scheduling project tasks in multiple and diverse environments and driving teams to aspire to win by delivering high quality products on time and on budget through resolution of issues and project challenges.
Ideal: Able to operate as an Agile Project Manager or Product Owner with an in depth understanding of these and other Agile team roles. Experience in technologies and processes used in the manufacturing of high volume electronic based medical devices such as electronic printed circuit boards assemblies, injection moulding, production test systems manufacturing assembly processes, and deliver of embedded software functionality. Understands basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections and makes decisions accordingly.
