About the role

Our Hotel Services employees are an integral part of our team, ensuring our Chefs and Cooks can dedicate their time to making sure every meal time is a special occasion for our senior residents. In this important role, you will assist our Murrumba Downs team with: 
  • Undertake all duties in accordance with the food safety and hygiene legislation, regulations and standards, including those specifically relating to the service of food to vulnerable persons and other relevant Bolton Clarke quality and customer service standards
  • Monitor, clean and tidy areas for which the employee is responsible
  • Undertake general cleaning duties within a kitchen, food preparation area, cold and storerooms, including the cleaning of cooking and general utensils used in the kitchen
  • General pantry duties including handling, storing and distributing a variety of goods
  • Assemble and prepare ingredients for cooking
  • Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements
  • Serve food and beverage to customers
  • Pick, label and dispatch goods in accordance with orders made
  • Maintain stock levels
  • What do we need from you?
  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of food handling and hygiene principles
  • Willingness to take direction from others
  • Reliability and shift flexibility 
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Police Check (valid within the last 3 years) 
  • Working rights in Australia 
  • A pre-employment medical assessment may be required for this role
  • Nice to have 
  • Food Handlers Certificate (desirable)
