About the Role

:

We have a fantastic opportunity in our Melbourne office for an enthusiastic can do attitude TechOps Engineer to join our Digital and Technology team. 

Working within a small high performing team this role provides operational support, ensuring the stability, integrity and performance of all information systems for Maurice Blackburn. Working closely with our Infrastructure, Service Operations and Application Support teams you will work on both BAU support issues - ensuring a smooth operation of our platform, and on project specific work including new system releases, enhancements and upgrades. 

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage, monitor and support Maurice Blackburn’s Disaster Recovery service
  • Primary point of contact for cyber issues and alerts, initial triage and escalation
  • Assist with the development of best practice capabilities in Maurice Blackburn’s ongoing migration to the cloud
  • Assist in developing best practice cloud automation capabilities including the adoption of CI/CD and Azure DevOps
  • Administer and support all cloud-based technology services, including O365 and SaaS based solutions
  • Build and maintain web, virtual, and client server enterprise environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any IT service issues escalated to the TechOps team
  • Actively participate in Technology projects from initiation through to completion

    Coupled with the below experience we are looking for an individual who is able to communicate effectively with internal and external professionals with varying levels of technical competence. You must be an energetic self-starter, motivated to succeed and able to operate autonomously with the ability to analytically problem solve to produce results.

    Required skills and experience: 

  • Relevant years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in managing cyber security issues and working closely with a SOC partner
  • Experience in supporting a range of specialised security tools including Rapid 7 (IDR & IVM) & Netskope (SWG, CASB, DLP)
  • Experience in managing, monitoring and supporting DR replication through Azure ASR
  • Experience in deployment and administration of Office 365 is required
  • Experience across Azure Cloud Platform in both hybrid and cloud native environments
  • Core understanding of Azure IaaS and PaaS offerings, governance and architecture
  • Experience in one or more of the following is advantageous: Azure Blueprints and Azure Governance (Policy, Management Groups)Azure DevOps and CI/CD PipelinesDeployments of Azure in Production environments, at scale
  • Experience in automation (ARM, PowerShell, etc.), scripting and/or development tools required
  • High level of knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows stack, covering desktop, server, deployment and administration services
  • Experience on architectural design, optimizations and performance tuning, with a good understanding of deployment design, networking and security architecture.
  • Network experience with routing tables, access control lists, firewalls, NAT, HTTP, DNS, IP & OSI Network is advantageous
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
